Uncut, Quick Knock Down • Two Views • Aggressive Interior Attack • South Fresno Ave, Stockton, CA
When you're surrounded by others who work quickly and effectively, it can demand the same of you. Be Good or Be Gone. On September 26th 2019, Stockton Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a structure fire on South Fresno Avenue. Engine 2 arrived first due, finding a single-story, single family home with heavy smoke and fire coming from the front of the building. Engine 2 deployed a 200 foot, pre-connected crosslay attack line and knocked down the fire. As the rest of the first alarm assignment arrived on scene, firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and overhaul the structure. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire within 13 minutes after the first 9-1-1 report (includes response time to the fire). Though the fire was extinguished quickly, crews remained on scene for more than an hour to ensure all hot spots were out and conduct an investigation. This particular video capture follows the firefighter on first-due Engine 2. The firefighter works with his crew to deploy the line and knock down the flames. A second video capture also follows the firefighter from Engine 9, who pulls a second attack line into the structure. We thank you for your views, support, feedback, and comments.
