Dangerous Road to Kurundu Oya Ella (කුරුඳු ඔය ඇල්ල) - Maturata Ella | Walapane #pajero #waterfalls

Kurundu Oya Falls is variadically classified as being Sri Lanka's 2nd, 3rd or 4th highest waterfall. Different sources differ in terms of this. It is located in Walapane and therefore belongs to the Nuwara Eliya district. The base of the waterfall is home to an abandoned hydroelectric powerplant. The roads to the falls are no longer operational and one of them which passes alongside the Japanese Peace Pagoda, Walapane is completely washed away after the Ditwah disaster and is impassable by vehicle. The alternative route which we took is a long way around and is also in shambles.
