BARAMU COMMENDS LEADERS FOR WARM WELCOME

Mr. Baramu Baluku, the newly elected Chairperson of Kasese Central Division LC3, has commended his fellow political and technical leaders for the warm welcome he received in office. Baramu and his 19 councilors were elected earlier this year and sworn in on Friday, 22nd May 2026, pledging to work hard for the development of the Division. He reaffirmed his commitment to continue sensitizing the public, especially business operators, to utilize spaces in Kasindi Main Market. This, he said, will improve business opportunities and make it easier for authorities to monitor activities. Baramu also called for unity and the formation of groups so that residents can benefit from government and NGO programs aimed at empowering communities. He urged public workers to report to their workplaces on time and avoid absenteeism and lateness. The Chairperson further encouraged everyone to promote tourism, which he described as one of the key sources of government revenue. He recommended that NGOs and government work together to remove street children from the town, saying their presence limits tourism growth. END
