MINISTER WARNS AGAINST EBOLA RUMORS AMIDST 127 GRADUATES AT UWRTI

Hon. Tom Butime, the Minister of Tourism, has warned people spreading false information about Ebola, saying it is discouraging tourists from coming to Uganda. The Minister made the remarks during a graduation ceremony at the Uganda Wildlife Research and Training College in Katwe-Kabatooro Town Council, Kasese District. Hon. Tom Butime, Minister of Tourism, warned against the spread of false Ebola reports, saying they are reducing the number of tourists visiting Uganda. Minister Butime said the Ministry has started receiving tourists coming into the country to visit various attractions. Robert Baluku, Principal of the College, also thanked the Government for providing funds to construct facilities at the institution. Baluku added that although the college is training students, job opportunities for graduates remain limited. Other leaders who attended the ceremony also had this to say: The graduating students thanked their parents and the Government for enabling them to complete their studies. A total of 127 students completed their Diploma in Wildlife Conservation and Natural Resources, as well as Tourism. End
