How will we feed a global population that will exceed 9.8 billion people by 2050? The challenge lies not only in producing more, but also in reducing the enormous amount of food waste that currently reaches nearly a third of global production. In this scenario, science and innovation, especially plant biotechnology, are beginning to play a key role in improving production, making it more efficient, and reducing losses throughout the food chain.
