Cemlyn Bay Shingle Ridge Walk & Nature Reserve, Anglesey, North Wales

Cemlyn Bay is situated on the wild north coast of Anglesey. (There are no specific postal codes and access to some car parks affected by tidal times, especially low ones). We parked on the east side of Cemlyn Bay - Grid Ref SH 336 932. Our track initially followed a long causeway flanked on either side by a nature reserve of wildlife birds and a lagoon, separated from the sea by a shingle split. Reaching the headlands our trail climbed up to an unusual elliptical shaping of cliff ridge edges. (Known as the shingle ridge along the Anglesey Coastal Path, overlooked majestic cliff views and wildlife on rocks below. (Ideal for birdwatching especially Sandwich Terns). The ridge is also known as Esgair Cemlyn (source: North Wales Wildlife trust). The ridge also passes Egles St Rhydrus Church whilst descending. (Apologies for the audio interference caused by the wind rattle on my microphone)
