登山者で栄えた村 今宮集落跡
It flourished as a post town for pilgrims to Mt. Ishizuchi (Imamiya Road), but with the opening of the ropeway in 1968, the pilgrimage route declined, and the village was abandoned in 1984. At its peak, there were apparently as many as 11 inns in the settlement, but it was impossible to tell which were the inns. Peak period: Around 1919 (Taisho 8) Maximum population: 178 people (36 households in total) Imamiya 4 years ago - Please see still images: • 愛媛県 今宮集落跡 Imamiya 1 year ago: • 登山道脇にある廃村集落跡 今宮に行ってきました #AbandonedVillage #SettlementRuins #ImamiyaSettlement #IshizuchiVillage
