For hours we sail down the river, observing Laos as it truly is. Wooden houses on stilts, fishermen casting nets, women working by the shore, small villages without roads and internet. Signal reception disappears, phones are no longer needed, and your mind begins to slow down. This day is a lesson in patience and mindfulness. The Mekong doesn't try to impress. It simply flows.
