A rich and hearty oxtail, mac and cheese Potjie that will warm your heart. Oxtail pieces, seasoned and grilled on the braai for that iconic "braai" taste. Placed in a potjie and left to simmer until the meat falls off the bone. This is where it gets interesting... Creamy Mac & cheese is then layered on top of the super-tender oxtail and left to bake for a few minutes. Absolutely wonderful! Recipe ∙ 4 kg Oxtail pieces ∙ 3 Beef stock cubes ∙ Tallow ∙ 4 Onions ∙ 2 Bell peppers ∙ 1 tablespoon garlic flakes ∙ ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce ∙ 1 tablespoon dried thyme ∙ 1 cup peach chutney ∙ 250 grams Mushrooms ( White button) Mac & Cheese ∙ ½ cup butter ∙ ¼ cup flour ∙ Pinch of salt ∙ Pinch of white pepper ∙ 1 tablespoon onion powder ∙ 1 tablespoon dried parsley ∙ 1 Leek (about ½ cup) ∙ 1 cup Mozzarella cheese ( 1 cup extra for final layer) ∙ 1 cup Gouda cheese ( 1 cup extra for final layer) Enjoy!☺ Thank you so much for watching our videos!
