105 miles on the Appalachian Trail, Completing the Smokies as a Senior Hiker from Florida.

Senior Hiker going solo on the Appalachian Trail - This whole section hike lasts 10 days with one zero day and covers 105-miles. The 9 days of actual hiking occurred in the last week of March. This final video covers Days 9 and 10, which completes the Smoky Mountains NOBO section. Day 9 is from Tri-Corner Shelter (mile marker 223.7) to Davenport Shelter (mile marker 238.3). Day 10 covers Davenport Shelter (marker 238.3) to Standing Bear Hostel on the north side of the Smokies at mile marker 241.8. My name is Mike, trail name Rambler, tackling the steep elevations of the Smokies as a 68-year-old senior hiker. Learning by experience about the serious challenge of climbing and descending these North Carolina and Tennessee peaks in the Smokies. Every day on trail is a good day! A flat-lander from Florida, I successfully made my way through these Appalachian Trail mountains.
