Casa in bio architettura con vista sul lago di Mergozzo - Elena Bertinotti Architetto (House Tour)

The Lake House, designed by the architect Elena Bertinotti, is located in Verbania overlooking Lake Mergozzo. The modern house project was commissioned to recover and revive an old family wooden chalet, and have a refuge to retreat from the hectic life of the city. The architect's philosophy was to build a house that respects the environment in every aspect, using materials that follow bio-architecture. The beola stone, used for the walkway, shines in the sunlight like the waves of the lake; the sheet metal that covers the roof and the facade has the same color as the trees that surround the house and characterizes the external modernity of the house; to the south, the stone wall gives continuity to the existing terracing; the larch wall has an irregular shape due to the discontinuous positioning of the slats. At the entrance you are greeted by a wooden boiserie which, with its warm tones, accompanies you inside the house where the architect wanted to frame the spectacular view with a minimal sliding window that immerses you in nature. In this project the goal was to respond to the needs of the clients, to have a residence where to fully experience the relationship with nature, and above all to give an identity to the home and the place, using traditional elements in a contemporary key .
