This early 20th-century period residence was entirely renovated and restored by Studio Brooke Canal, with the aim of preserving its original identity while reinterpreting it in a contemporary style. The restoration encompassed both the interior and exterior, maintaining the original architectural shell, a distinctive feature of the grand historic villas on Lake Como, as well as the swimming pool, perfectly integrated into the landscape. Travertine laid in a herringbone pattern, wenge-stained oak parquet, and fine marble define bright and harmonious spaces, where past and present interact through artisanal details and custom solutions. The living room opens onto a panoramic loggia overlooking the lake, while the bedrooms on the upper floors enhance the spaces with integrated furnishings. On the lower level, the layout has been transformed to create a seamless connection with the outdoors, where the infinity pool becomes the fulcrum of the living experience: the waterproof reinforced concrete pool, thanks to its infinity effect, visually merges with the waters of Lake Como. The outdoor spaces are conceived as an open-air living area immersed in the landscape, featuring natural stone paving and Moltrasio stone cladding that strengthen the connection with the surrounding area. Villa Madonnina is an example of a luxury renovation that integrates modern technologies and quality materials without altering the residence's historic essence, offering a new, contemporary way of living that is perfectly integrated into the unique setting of Lake Como.
