大阪モノレール延伸の終点へ!瓜生堂車両基地と建設現場を歩く【後編】

We walked the Osaka Monorail Uryuudo extension route to check the progress of the construction work. This is the second part of our walk, covering the area from the provisional Konoike-Shinden Station to the planned Aramoto Station site, and finally to the terminal Uryuudo Station and Uryuudo Depot. Around Konoike-Shinden Station, construction of the station's support pillars is progressing, making the station's location clearly visible. Further towards Aramoto, widening work on the urban planning road and foundation work for the gantry pillars have begun, gradually revealing the concrete shape of the extension route. The highlight of the second half is the Uryuudo Depot. Many track girders have already been installed, and finger plates have been fitted, indicating that the depot's track structure is very close to completion. The layout of the train inspection tracks, sidings, and general inspection factory can also be confirmed from the site. Near Uryuudo Station, we observed structures with a sense of scale unique to large monorails, such as the branching of the main line and the depot line, and the elevated structure that crosses the Kintetsu Line. Construction of the Osaka Monorail Uryuudo extension is progressing with the goal of opening in 2033. During this walk, we were able to see the current state of the extension project firsthand, from the construction of support pillars to the installation of track girders and the construction of the train depot.
