Cycling the world (Days 1588-1623) Argentina: Ruta 40, geology, desert, wine and a couple of idiots

We rode the fabled Ruta 40, through the famous wine region of Mendoza, we drank quite a bit, cycled endless miles awed by the geology. Ate steak, made friends. Then needed yet another dentist, but we had fun. We coped with horrendous headwinds, survived possibly the worst gravel of our trip, were saved from dehydration by some super kind people, but the actions of two car drivers during our last two days nearly ended in disaster and it was goodbye Argentina for us.
