This is the Shenyang edition of the series on the former Manchukuo. Shenyang is famous as the place where the Manchurian Incident occurred, and was called Mukden during the Manchukuo period. It was also the base station of the South Manchuria Railway, and was an area where Japan was deeply involved, and was the location of the Kwantung Army Headquarters at the time. It is very close, only 560 km from Seoul, and can be reached by plane in just under an hour.
