Howdy! :D This time, we take a gander at what is often considered the most famous automotive failure in history, the Edsel by Ford, a machine originally intended to bridge the gap between Mercury and Ford itself so as to compete with General Motors directly, but instead found itself being a multifaceted commercial disaster due to its mixture of overzealous promotion, a horrendously poor pricing strategy, terrible reliability, an unrecognisable name, and, most of all, its dubious styling that has become something of a punchline within the automotive world.
