Periodista de Proceso denuncia amenazas de muerte tras asesinato de Alejandro Leyva

Journalist Pedro Matías Arrazola, Proceso's correspondent in Oaxaca, confirmed that he received death threats on the same day that journalist Francisco Alejandro Leiva Aguilar was murdered. Despite recommendations to stay home, he decided to attend his colleague's funeral as an act of solidarity. During the interview, he recalled that he had previously been kidnapped and that two years ago a Molotov cocktail was thrown at his home. He also stated that he has filed a new complaint regarding the recent threats and criticized the Oaxaca State Human Rights Ombudsman's Office for alleged negligence in Alejandro Leiva's case. Pedro Matías affirmed that he will continue practicing journalism despite the risks and maintained his commitment to reporting the news.
