Abogado de Ruffo rechaza acusaciones de la FGR y cuestiona el caso: "No existe una sola prueba"

Attorney Fernando Gómez Mont asserted that there is not a single piece of evidence directly linking former governor Ernesto Ruffo to the events being investigated by the Attorney General's Office. Responding to statements by Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum, he maintained that the accusations are based solely on his status as a shareholder in a company and not on any concrete actions attributable to his client. During the interview, the lawyer stated that the application of legislation against organized crime is disproportionate and questioned the attempt to link Ruffo to a criminal organization through inferences. He also indicated that the defense will seek to have the former governor face trial under house arrest due to his age.
