[Casa de Montero Camp - 05/26] E-Scooter Camping: Rainy WFH Setup, Epic Sunset & Dense Morning Fog

After wrapping up my stay at the Pine Farm, I moved over to Casa de Montero. I really wanted to get my motorcycle as close to the tent area as possible for a seamless setup, but the path inside was a real challenge. The cemented walkway is designed for pedestrians, and navigating it with sidebags, especially through the tight right-angle turns lined with plants, was definitely a struggle. In this video: Off-Grid Work Setup: Making the most of Casa de Montero’s solar power system to keep my laptop and Starlink running, while also getting a charge for my e-scooter. The Maneuver: Showing the reality of riding a motorcycle with sidebags through narrow, pedestrian-only walkways and tight right-angle corners. Rainy WFH Setup: Adapting to the weather by setting up my office on a hotel veranda, joined by a local dog, some cats, and a very persistent chicken. Incredible Skies: Catching one of the most stunning post-rain sunsets I’ve ever seen, followed by a morning of dense, zero-visibility fog. Next Steps: Securing permission to camp at Damgu and getting some final drone shots before the mist rolled in. Camping Notes: Accessibility Warning: The interior paths at Casa de Montero are narrow and designed for pedestrians. If you have sidebags or a wide motorcycle, expect a very tight squeeze and some difficult cornering. Power: They have a great off-grid solar and battery setup here, making it very convenient to charge gear and run a WFH station. Pro-Tip: If you're camping for a short stay, don't be afraid to ask caretakers for covered areas if the weather turns.
