[Damgu Camping - 05/26] Rainy Homeward Journey: Battery Range Test, Charging Struggles & Hungry Trip

The ride home is never as simple as it looks on a map, especially when you are testing a custom electric motorcycle setup during the Habagat season. After packing up at Damgu, I faced a long, challenging ride back to Cabatuan that turned into a real test of endurance and power management. In this video: The Power Hunt: Between brownouts and full campsites, I had to be strategic about where to charge. A huge thank you to the staff at Mountain Hill Resort and G Cafe in Tigbauan for the hospitality and the much-needed charge! Route Strategy: I decided to skip the incomplete Antique to Tubungan shortcut. It was a longer ride, but avoiding the mud, landslide-prone roads, and steep, slippery sections was the right call for safety in the heavy rain. The Battery Experiment: I tested my batteries one by one rather than running them in parallel to see how each pack holds up individually. It was a long ride from Aningalan through Sibalom, San Joaquin, and Guimbal, pushing the limits of my capacity and managing everything via the JK BMS app. Rainy Day Struggles: You know that feeling when you finally change into dry socks, only for the rain to start up again five minutes later? Yeah, that happened. The Hungry Journey: Between the route changes and the charging stops, I spent the entire ride from Aningalan to Tigbauan running on empty, literally and figuratively, until I finally found a spot to eat and charge. Ride Data & Stats: Strategy: Tested three separate battery packs to avoid potential range drag from older cells. Charging: Topped up at Mountain Hill Resort (1kW charger) and G Cafe. Route: Aningalan to Sibalom to San Joaquin to Guimbal to Tigbauan to Alimodian to Cabatuan. Camping & Road Notes: Safety First: If a shortcut route is incomplete and the weather is bad, the extra kilometers are always worth it to avoid getting stuck or dealing with dangerous terrain. E-Scooter Tips: If you are testing your battery range, always have a plan B and C for charging. Managing your BMS app on the go is essential for long-distance riding.
