EKIKADDE Tape 43 LUBIRI SECONDARY SCHOOL with TENDO NICKTAH MUSOKE

Lubiri Secondary School was established in 1956 by the King of Buganda, Sir Edward Mutesa II, inside the Palace (Lubiri), where the present day Nabagereka Primary School is located. It started as a separate school and not as a promotion of Nabagereka PS, hence it was named Lubiri SS. It is now located along Wakaliga Road in Mengo, and is one of Uganda’s leading centers of academic excellence, discipline, and holistic education. The school serves over 4,000 students from Senior One to Senior Six. Guided by its motto, 'We Learn By Doing', Lubiri SS emphasizes practical learning, critical thinking, and leadership development to prepare students for success in an ever-changing world. Tendo Nicktah Musoke attended Lubiri SS from 1992 to 1997 but is an active member in LOSA (Lubiri Old Students Association ) and still very involved with the school especially when it comes to football because he was one of their notable stars in those days, helping it overcome its biggest rivals then, Kibuli SS (attached to Express FC) and Kololo SS (attached to KCC) on a number of occassions. Other football stars who went there include Gibby Kalule (international player agent), Edward Golola (former Vipers coach), George Nsimbe, George Ssemwogerere, Fred Kajjoba, Richard Kirumira, James Kirinya, Badru Senkayi, Robert Mukiibi, Robert Ssemakula, Livingstone Mbabazi, James Odoch, Robert Ojok, Dan Ntale, Herbert Nsubuga, Charles Simbwa, Cyrus Zimazze, Abu Miiro, Jackson Nyiima, Gerald Kibirango, Chris Kasasa, Valley Musisi (R.I.P.), Robert Nyanzi (R.I.P), Isaac Mulyanga 'Kanu', Pius Ngabo (UPDF coach), Baker Senabulya and so many others. Some of the other stand out personalities that are former students include current UCC Executive Director Nyombi Thembo, former Prime Minister Kintu Musoke, former Vice President Edward Ssekandi as well as various entertainment gurus like Steve Jean, Menton Summer (R.I.P), Martin Luther from LSST, Grace Ssekamate from EAGLES, Joanita Kawalya from AFRIGO, renown gospel artist Ken Sserukenya, Terry Devoe of 'Atwooki' fame, James Ddamba from FIRST LOVE, Mariam Mulinde from GIBROS BAND, producer Andrew Kiwanuka, Shanks Junior, young brother to Shanks Vivie Dee, actress Rita Tusubira of EBONIES 'Olga' fame and even Bobi Wine though he was not there for long.
