Una vita da NICO, CEREGHINI si racconta a 360 gradi
In a chat with René Pierotti, journalist and former rider Nico Cereghini recounts the most intense moments of his career and his unbreakable bond with motorcycles, including anecdotes from the track, television, and his passion for riding. At 76, our Nico Cereghini remains an icon of Italian motorcycling. A journalist, rider, and historic television personality, he has brought the stories and secrets of two wheels to the public for decades. "I'm happy to be here. I've been attending EICMA since 1961, and every time it's wonderful," says Cereghini, retracing the steps of a career that began with his first "test ride" at 15 on a Ducati 175, his experience on the track in the 500cc class, and then his success on TV, thanks in part to the Grand Prix program. His passion, however, was born on the Gilera Giubileo 98, where he first experienced the thrill of speed: "The 85 mph of that time left a mark, much more than the 300 mph he achieved later," he confesses. He says he can do many things quite well: write, draw, play the harmonica. And, without being modest, he knows how to do one thing really well: ride a motorcycle on the road and on the track. A great storyteller of emotions on two wheels who, even today, inspires motorcyclists of all ages.
