Czy cukier uzależnia?

Food addiction, and sugar addiction in particular, is a hot and controversial topic. Many experts, including some I personally respect, believe it's a real problem and requires specialized treatment. However, a closer look at the data reveals that the matter isn't so straightforward. The famous "sugar-addicted" rats in the studies weren't spontaneously addicted, but rather subjected to a rather brutal process of starvation and overfeeding. The slightly less famous "Anonymous Overeaters" are addicted to food because they declared it so. Furthermore, most studies indicate foods other than sugar as the most "addictive," and questionnaires examining food addiction also label people with eating disorders, including anorexia, as "addicted." *SUPPORT ON PATRONITE*: https://patronite.pl/dr-damian-parol SOURCES: SOUNDS USED: (without quotation marks) SEGMENTS: 01:04 Is sugar as addictive as cocaine? 01:38 How to get a rat addicted to sugar? 08:01 Products that are addictive? 10:06 Are highly flavored foods as addictive as Candy Crush? 11:41 Is "food addiction" a useful concept? 12:19 Food addiction and eating disorders? 17:14 What could really distinguish food addiction from compulsive overeating? 17:48 Subjective confidence scale LINKS: Blog: https://www.damianparol.com/ Newsletter signup: https://www.damianparol.com/newsletter/ Facebook:   / damian.parol   Instagram:   / dr.damian.parol   Twitter:   / paroldamian   TikTok:   / dr.damian.parol   Online training: https://www.warsztatnauki.pl/ EDIT AND GRAPHICS: Natalia Parol
