Dr Ivan Velickovic, MD, FASA, is an obstetric anaesthesiologist at NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest municipal healthcare system in the United States. He provides obstetric anaesthesia care at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr Velickovic previously served as Director of Obstetrical Anaesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn for 19 years. He was subsequently appointed Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology at Yale University. In 2024 and 2025, he practised obstetric anaesthesiology at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut, part of the Yale New Haven Health System. He serves as an ASA Mentor for POCUS and actively promotes the integration of point-of-care ultrasound in anaesthesiology education and clinical practice.
