Dr André Theron, MBChB, FCA (SA), MMed (Anes), Fellowship Rapm (KUL), is a consultant anaesthetist and associated lecturer in the University of the Free State, George, South Africa. He has a passion for teaching regional anaesthesia and since finishing as anaesthesiologist he has been involved in numerous regional anaesthesia teaching and training workshops, both nationally and internationally. He has also served on the executive committee of the South African Society of Regional Anaesthesia and helped organize the SASRA Congress. He is currently an Associate Editor at the Trends in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Journal, Director at Syncerus Care Anaesthesiology and an Associate lecturer at the Department of Anaesthesiology at the University of the Free State, in South Africa.
