ECMO for ARDS. Giacomo Grasselli (Italy)

Professor Giacomo Grasselli is a Full Professor of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the University of Milan (Italy). He is the Director of the Department of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Emergency of the Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan, a tertiary referral Centre for the treatment of patients with acute respiratory failure. He is one of the coordinators of the Italian ECMO Network, and he has coordinated the Regional Network of COVID-19 ICUs in Lombardy. He is the General Secretary of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and the President-elect of the Italian Society of Anaesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Pain Therapy (SIAARTI).
