Fabricating an Aluminum Solar Arch and Railings on our Sailboat

In this episode, we are fabricating an aluminum solar arch, railings and lifeline stanchions from scratch for our 46' sailboat. In our last video, we removed all of the old railings and stanchions because they were leaking and worn out. Now we are back in Stuart, Florida and jumping right into this project. We've been working on refitting this 46' Morgan sailboat for the past 5 months. It was given to us for free by a complete stranger, but it came with a lot of problems including a blown up engine. After 3 months on the hard, we launched and motored down the ICW to our dock space in sunny and warm Florida to finish the refit. We have to get all of our projects finished by mid April so that we can take the boat to the Bahamas where we do charters in the summer with our two sailboats. After completing the welding, we remove the new arch, railings and stanchions to store them on land where they will stay while we get into our next project which is painting the deck of the boat and cockpit.
