We shall be bringing you all the racing action live from circuit-side! After a captivating opening round at Watkins Glen, we have made our way to Australia for Bathurst. Known formally as the “Mount Panorama Circuit” in reference to the mountain on which it sits, the home of the Intercontinental GT Challenge 12 Hour race is a tough track to crack. With the majority of its 23 corners situated on a narrow public road which takes drivers across the mountain, overtaking here is typically only seen on its extended straights making it a 3.86 mile course where track position and strategy are critical to victory! In the ELITE class, Anders Myhre has set the pace after converting his incredible pole position performance into a runaway victory at Watkins Glen. Meanwhile, we also got to see several drivers shine over the race distance with Brandon Dyer steadily steering his way to second place and Richard Simnor taking the third step of the podium through strategy. Will Myhre make it two-from-two today? Or can someone stop him from building momentum? In the PRO class, whilst qualifying proved to be a tight affair in the USA with pole-sitter Chris Jennings; Simon Clifton; Danny Phillips; and Mark Collacott all within a tenth of a second of each other, it was Danny Phillips who emerged victorious in the race with a gap of 14 seconds to Chris Jennings. However, many will have their eyes on Oli Pimley who fought his way onto the final podium step from seventh. Could Pimley be the source of surprises today? Who shall sit atop Mount Panorama as King of the Mountain? Tune in and find out!
