Testing China’s Craziest Fireworks in Rural China 🇨🇳
In this video, I experience one of my most chaotic and unforgettable days in China so far. I’m in rural China during Chinese New Year, visiting Muochou Village in Zhongxiang, Hubei Province, and somehow I end up dressed like a Chinese king, walking around the village while everyone stares, laughs, talks to me, and asks for photos. As the only foreigner there, this already felt like a crazy cultural experience… but then the night got even crazier. After exploring the village, seeing the Chinese New Year decorations, trying local food, visiting a beautiful traditional-style restaurant, and experiencing how people celebrate Lunar New Year in the Chinese countryside, we head out at night to test some of the craziest Chinese fireworks I have ever seen. I try fireworks shaped like bazookas, machine guns, jellyfish fireworks, and even one that felt like a literal nuke going off. In Europe, fireworks usually last a few minutes, but in rural China during New Year, it feels like the whole city turns into a battlefield of lights, explosions, smoke, and chaos. But then… the police arrive. This was my first time properly celebrating Chinese New Year in rural China, and honestly, it showed me a completely different side of China that most foreigners never get to see. The people were kind, the atmosphere was crazy, the traditions were beautiful, and the fireworks were absolutely insane. And would you ever try fireworks like this in rural China?
