Preparation of Brussels sprouts potatoes gratin 750 g Brussels sprouts 600 g potatoes ½-1 teaspoon parsley ½ teaspoon paprika, sweet Salt to taste Pepper to taste ½ teaspoon nutmeg 250 g cream or milk 150 g cheese preparation 1. Wash Brussels sprouts, cut off the stalk and pluck off the outer, wilted leaves. Finely grate the cheese. 2. Wash, peel and slice the potatoes. 3. Bring the water to a boil, season with salt, add the potato slices and let simmer for about 5 minutes (they should be a little firmer, not really done). 4. Add Brussels sprouts and blanch for another approx. 2 minutes, then drain (if necessary rinse ice cold so that the light green color is retained). 5. Put the potato pieces and Brussels sprouts in a baking dish, sprinkle with parsley, season well with salt, pepper, paprika and nutmeg. 6. Pour the cream / milk on top and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake the casserole for about 20-30 minutes, until the vegetables are soft (check with a sharp knife) and the cheese is lightly brown.
