Contact for work: [email protected] ------------------------- The flag of Slovenia consists of three horizontal stripes in white, blue, and red, with the national coat of arms in the upper left corner. Meaning: White: Symbolizes peace and the country’s snow-covered mountains. Blue: Represents the sea, rivers, and freedom. Red: Stands for courage and national pride. Coat of arms: The white mountain represents Mount Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia. The two blue wavy lines symbolize the Adriatic Sea and the nation’s rivers. The three golden stars are inspired by the historic coat of arms of the Counts of Celje. The current flag was officially adopted in 1991 after Slovenia declared independence from Yugoslavia.
