Meaning: White: Symbolizes peace and purity. Blue: Represents freedom, hope, and the sky. Red: Stands for courage and national pride. Coat of arms: Features a silver double cross standing on three blue hills. The three hills symbolize the historic mountain ranges of Tatra, Fatra, and Matra. The double cross reflects Slovakia’s Christian heritage and history. The current flag was officially adopted in 1992 before Slovakia separated from Czechoslovakia. Reference(s)
