Full Body Strength Workout for Women 40+ | Build Lean Muscle & Balance (No Cardio)
Hello and welcome back! Today’s workout is a Level 2 full body strength session designed to help you build lean muscle through controlled, slow-tempo movements with absolutely no cardio. We’ll focus on stabilization, balance, core control, and time under tension to help you feel stronger, more grounded, and more connected to your body. This is an all-strength, low-impact workout, so there’s no rushing through your reps today. Instead, we’ll focus on moving with intention, control, and quality form throughout every exercise. The workout includes 2 circuits with 4 exercises each, using 45 seconds of work followed by 20 seconds of rest and transition. Exercises include: Dumbbell bent-over row to stand Single-leg RDL Single-arm rear fly Skull crushers Front squats Split squat with ipsilateral arm raise Half-kneeling curl to overhead press These movements are designed to challenge your balance, coordination, posture, and overall stability while helping you build functional full body strength. Equipment: Dumbbells - for reference, I used 25 lb, 20 lb, 15 lb, 10 lb, and 8 lb dumbbells. This kind of training matters. Building strength isn’t always about crushing yourself every workout.
