We're spending the next week road tripping around Tassie, over to Bruny Island, up the East Coast, then inland to Cradle Mountain. We've heard stories about Tasmania for years now, after a while you start to wonder how true the yarns are and end up with more questions than answers: Is an island off an island really necessary? Surely it doesn’t actually snow in Tasmania? Can the food and drink genuinely compete with New Zealand? Is road tripping the best option? Wait, there's white sand beaches? On this trip we'll figure that all out, kick starting things off in this vlog with some of the top things to do in Hobart: Salamanca markets, Mount Wellington and Cascade Brewery. The Salamanca markets have been a Saturday tradition for over 50 years, so make sure you tee it up to align with your own trip! They draw locals and tourists from all over to check out the local produce, crafts, and live music. Kunanyi Mount Wellington is an iconic peak overlooking Hobart.
