A Day Of Diesels At Mid Norfolk Railway

Join us as we visit the Mid-Norfolk Railway for the first time. The day saw class 47 47 580 'County of Essex' in her unusual but quite splendid Platinum Jubilee livery hauling services on the first part of the line from Dereham to Thuxton and back with Class 142 Pacer 142061 continuing the journey to Wymondham Abbey Station which is overshadowed by the incredible Wymondham Abbey itself which was hosting a wedding. We explore the town of Wymondham as well as visiting its mainline station before returning back to 142061 to take us back along the line back to Thuxton and then swapping over to 47 580 to continue to Dereham. We then explore Dereham and visit the Queen Mother's Botanical Gardens. Before just dodging a major thunderstorm. We then have one full ride topin and tailin 47 580 and 33 202 'Dennis G.Robinson' which certainly was quite the experience. Lastly we then drive to County School Station to see what that looked like before heading home.
