Exploring Idaho's Overlooked Backcountry With No Beta

We spent three weeks living out of our rigs, exploring and skiing Idaho’s Lemhi Range; a remote, overlooked mountain range that most people drive right past. In the ski film world, you’re used to seeing the hero shots: endless powder, perfect bluebird days, and lines that seem effortless. But what you don’t often see is everything that comes before; the planning, the uncertainty, the long approaches, the failed days, and the hard decisions that shape a real backcountry mission. The Roadside Attractions series is dedicated to discovering hidden mountain ranges that few, if any, have skied. Each episode takes you to remote locations where we camp at the base of these untouched ranges and spend weeks exploring their potential. In this episode of Roadside Attractions we take a deep dive into Idaho's Lemhi Range. With no guidebooks, no real beta, and no established trails, we relied entirely on maps, observation, and experience to figure out access, assess avalanche conditions, and decide what was safe to ski. Some days delivered incredible snow and big, fast lines. Other days forced us to turn around after hours of effort, or not ski at all. Filmed entirely by the team and self-produced on the road, this film shows what it actually takes to explore unfamiliar terrain on public land; the highs, the lows, and everything in between. This isn’t ski p*rn. It’s about curiosity, decision-making, and proving that the backcountry, and the public lands that make trips like this possible, are more accessible than most people think. Whether you ski, hike, climb, or just love human-powered adventure, this film is an invitation to explore what’s still out there.
