I've spent quite a bit of time pondering the question: what makes a place your favorite place? For us fly fishing aficionados, is it the fish? The scenery? Your super special secret spot? I'm lucky enough to have fished all over the world. New Zealand, Argentina, Alaska... but my wintertime daydreams tend to take me back to this unassuming valley in Colorado. And, maybe it is the scenery. Or maybe it's the fish. But I think it's harder to explain.
