Photographing the Landscape of Eryri (Snowdonia) from the Gwydir Forest

The forests in Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park are wonderful areas to explore at any time of the year. Overlooking the beautiful welsh town of Betws-y-Coed, I stayed in the Gwydir Forest for a week of landscape photography during September 2023. From the cottage, I could venture straight into the heart of the Gwydir Forest. The forest could be mistaken for Middle Earth from the Lord of the Rings films, a truly magical place to explore. I followed the forest trails, looking for woodland photography compositions, along with a quick visit to the majestic Swallow Falls near Betws-y-Coed. It was a relief to have some cooler and cloudier weather after the heat-wave during the first week of September.
