Delicious Matar Pulao Recipe | Easy Homemade Style Learn how to make a flavorful and aromatic Matar Pulao at home with simple ingredients. This easy step-by-step recipe gives you perfectly cooked rice with peas, whole spices, and rich taste that everyone will love. ✨ Ingredients: 1 cup oil (220 g) Whole spices (sabut garam masala) 1 tbsp cumin seeds 1 cinnamon stick 10–12 black peppercorns 1 black cardamom 1 bay leaf 1 star anise 1 onion (thinly sliced) 500 g green peas 4 potatoes (cut) 4–5 green chilies 1 lemon (sliced) 1 tbsp crushed coriander seeds 1 tbsp crushed cumin seeds ½ cup yogurt Salt to taste 2 tomatoes (chopped) 1 liter water ½ cup milk 3 glasses rice (soaked for 20 minutes) A little pickle (for dum) 👩‍🍳 Method: Heat oil and add whole spices. Fry sliced onion until light golden. Add peas and potatoes and fry for 4–5 minutes. Add green chilies and lemon slices. Then add crushed coriander and cumin seeds. Mix well and add yogurt and salt. When masala is cooked, add tomatoes and 1 liter water. Add milk and bring to a boil. Add soaked rice and cook until water reduces. When water is almost dry, add a little pickle and give it a 10-minute dum. 🍽️ Your delicious Matar Pulao is ready to serve!
