He Second Guessed, She Died
The tragic crash of a Cessna 421C Golden Eagle in Steamboat Springs on June 17th, 2024 killed both occupants onboard. Pilot Dan Dunn and passenger Jessica Melton lost their lives after Dan abandoned a precautionary landing in order to return to his home airport 150 miles away. The turbo charged Continental engine failed, and the aircraft ultimatly spun only a mile from Steamboat's Bob Adams field resulting in the fatal airplane crash.
