It is the most quoted and most misunderstood phrase in the entire Gospel. Contemporary culture has transformed it into a dogma of relativism: no one can say anything, no one can correct, no one has the right to call evil by its name. But what does the Greek text really say? In this video, we delve into Matthew 7:1-2, John 7:24, and Luke 6:37 and discover that the verb κρίνω (kríno) does not mean "to condemn"—it means to separate, sift, discern. Jesus does not abolish moral judgment. He commands it: δικαία κρίσις (dikaía krísis), just judgment. The key is in Luke, where a completely different verb appears alongside κρίνετε: καταδικάζετε (katadikázete)—to condemn from above, to merge the erring person with his error to crush him. This is the line Christ draws: discerning evil is a duty; condemning a person is a usurpation of God's throne. 📌 Question for you (write me in the comments): How many times have you remained silent in the face of something wrong for fear of "judging"?
