Ma Gesù fa preferenze con gli operai della vigna? La parabola spiegata

"Are you envious because I am good?" That's how they translate it into Italian. There are pages in the Gospel that, if you read them quickly, put you on the wrong side. This is one of them. Because instinctively, when the payday scene arrives, you side with the protesters. It seems reasonable. It even seems necessary. And there, in that moment when you think you're defending justice, Jesus is showing you something much more uncomfortable: He's showing you how it works inside. In two words—one Greek, one Hebrew—there's the scalpel that opens everything up. It's not the parable you thought it was. And maybe the problem isn't the owner of the vineyard.
