Shillinglaw Spur Track (N21 Track) - VHC

This video profiles Shillinglaw Spur Track (otherwise known as N21 Track) that runs between the Jamieson-Licola Road and Middle Road, and is located approximately 8km south-east of Mt Skene. This is a cracking 4wd track with a bit of everything to tackle, and a good challenging drive. The upper section of the track is heavily overgrown and pin striping is part of the deal if driving through this section. The track is narrow and littered with logs, water holes, vegetation, tight hairpins and other obstacles to negotiate. One of the cool things about this track is passing through some damp fern gullies and some decent tall forest. The track zig-zags across the hill before heading down Shillinglaw Spur. The track slopes at the top are moderate, increasing as you get closer towards the bottom of the track. The lower track is heavily eroded and rutted in the steeper sections. Given the steep track slope, the rutted section needs to be driven with care. Overall track conditions are medium, however the presence of the rutted section means this track is rated difficult. It takes approximately 50mins to drive this track. Catch you out there! Track filmed Nov 2025.
