Royal Iris Of The Mersey Last ever crossing
Today 29th March 2026 an iconic ferry took her last sail in service cross the Mersey. she has been in service since 1960 and thought to of carried around 17 million passengers. She featured in the film by Gerry and the Pacemakers "Ferry cross the Mersey" she will be replaced by the new ferry built at cammell laird named "Royal Daffodil" due to go in to service summer 2026.
