Cratera se abre durante obra da Sabesp e interdita imóveis em SP

A crater opened up during sewage work in the Rochdale neighborhood of Osasco (São Paulo state), threatening three nearby houses. The incident occurred while the São Paulo State Basic Sanitation Company (Sabesp) was carrying out work to clean up local streams. The affected residences were closed off due to the imminent risk of collapse. The problem arose on Rua Cuiabá and generated great concern among residents and workers in the region. The area was partially isolated by authorities to prevent more serious accidents. Aerial images show that the structures of the houses are dangerously close to the edge of the crater. Sabesp reported that it has already begun actions to repair the damaged slab and replace the well cover involved in the work. Despite this, residents are still awaiting detailed explanations about the preventive measures adopted by the company. Images captured by a RECORD helicopter revealed the extent of the damage caused by the continuous erosion of the soil under the affected buildings.
