The Cranleigh Line and The Cuckoo Line - June 1965

A couple of years ago I acquired a few reels of 8 mm railway colour cine film, which came from an ex Derby Works employee. Since then I have had them all digitized and enhanced to improve image quality and can now begin to upload them to YouTube so that other railway enthusiasts can see them for, almost certainly, the first time. This film dates from June 1965 and, although the exact date is not known, I am assuming that it must have been taken just before both lines closed which, I believe, was on 14 June 1965. It begins at Guildford station and we then see Bramley and Wonersh on the Cranleigh Line. We next see Redgate Mill Junction signal box, Horam station and, possibly, Hellingley station followed by a few lineside shots before finishing up back at Guildford. Sadly I never did travel on either the Cranleigh Line or the Cuckoo Line so it is wonderful for me to be able to see these, albeit very brief, glimpses of both.
