ECOKRAFT - Cardboards to energy pellets

Cardboard cuttings resulting from cardboard production as well as waste cardboard are suitable for recycling as well as for the production of energy pellets. In the first step, the cardboard cuttings or waste cardboard are pre-shredded in a chipper and then homogeneously reduced again in a granulator to approx. 6 mm flakes. Subsequently, the pellets are converted into energy pellets with a calorific value of 4.4 kW/kg to 4.6 kW/kg. In Germany, such heating pellets may be used in special pellet burners with a filter designed for this purpose.
