Il fabrique des PELLETS avec des chutes de bois destinées à la poubelle

More than 1.8 million French people heat their homes with a pellet boiler or stove. These small pellets, made from finely ground and compressed wood, provide better combustion and therefore very high efficiency, while emitting fewer pollutants into the atmosphere. While the majority of pellets are manufactured by large factories, this renewable fuel can also be produced locally in small workshops. We visited one of the smallest pellet factories in France, which produces between 120 and 150 tons of pellets each year from wood scraps and waste. Located in La Tour-d'Aigues (Vaucluse), the family business "Les Granulés de Bois" supplies around a hundred loyal customers within a 20 km radius. The plant is currently for sale.
