ECOKRAFT - Straw to animal bedding pellets

The climate in the stable is significantly influenced by the bedding. In order to provide the horses with a pleasant air in the stable, the selection of the right box bedding and general hygiene is extremely important. Box bedding should be comfortable for the horse, have a high absorbency, be as little contaminated with molds or toxins as possible, and be low in dust. Especially for horses prone to allergies, the appropriate bedding should be carefully selected. The respiratory tract of horses is extremely sensitive to dust. In the worst case, chronic respiratory diseases are imminent: The horses cough, breathe heavily even at rest and avoid exertion. The symptoms can usually only be alleviated, a cure is not possible. Danger recognized, danger averted! Because dust sources can be defused with simple means. Molds from the straw and a high dust load are often the reason that horses develop respiratory diseases. By pelletizing straw into bedding pellets, these are heated to almost 100°C, thus killing molds.
