In this video, I'm sailing single-handed from Scheveningen to Nieuwpoort in Belgium. The route takes me past Rotterdam, through the Maas estuary, and on to Nieuwpoort via Zeebrugge. The traffic off Rotterdam is particularly interesting: tankers, freighters, pilot boats, and commercial shipping make this section challenging. Add to that typical North Sea weather: cool, gray, and rainy. Not a leisurely sunny cruise, but two exciting single-handed legs along the Dutch and Belgian coasts.
